Queensland v Tasmania at Brisbane, Oct 12-15, 2007 scorecard |
Murray Bragg had worked his way through each step of the Queensland representative ladder when he made his first-class debut in the opening Pura Cup game of 2007-08. A qualified accountant, Bragg balances his work with wicketkeeping and was operating as Chris Hartley's understudy when the incumbent's wrist injury allowed an opening.
Bragg was a rookie contract holder with the Bulls last season, but was too old for a second deal and missed the initial senior squad. In 2005-06 he played for the QAS for the first time and posted a grade century for Valley to confirm his promise as a wicketkeeper-batsman. He started his career in Jimboomba and represented the state's primary school, under-15 schoolboy, under 17, under 19 and colts sides before graduating to the senior ranks.
