Cricinfo Magazine, India's leading cricket monthly, is looking for a sub.

The job will involve vetting articles and features for grammar and syntax (including spelling and punctuation) and overall style and clarity. A few articles may require a certain amount of rewriting and basic restructuring. All articles will need to be fact-checked ­- mainly statistics and dates, which will need to be verified against the cricinfo.com database.

We're looking for someone who is knowledgeable about cricket and its history, and familiar with its terms. If you know your way around cricinfo.com and have used its statistical tool StatsGuru, that's a plus.

You need to have experience of working as a sub or similar in a newspaper, magazine or website, be able to work to deadlines, and be comfortable with page-layout software.

While we're looking primarily for a full-timer, a part-time arrangement can also be considered. This position is based in Mumbai, India.
