4.6 to Aamer Sohail, there she blows! Pringle shakes off the over-stepping, gets one to nibble away from a perfect length, a loose, nervous crease-bound poke from Sohail and Stewart stoops to gather!. 20/1
8.2 to Ramiz Raja, Rameez walks across his stumps, plumb in front of middle, and Pringle finds the nipbacker to pin him lbw! That's a huge breakthrough, Rameez was guilty of sizing up the leg side, and well, if Pringle bowls that line for the rest of his spell, he'll be quids in!. 24/2
49.5 to Inzamam-ul-Haq, right up to the blockhole, and Inzamam is bowled! Canny effort from Pringle, using his wily experience to outfox an impetuous youngster, whose woolly air shot misses everything. But my goodness, what a hand he has played, both here and in that crucial semi-final. Melbourne rises to a star of the future... and of the present!. 249/5

43.3 to Imran Khan, heave ho! Imran holes out to long-on! Finally, England have the skipper, something had to give, he'd done his part and more in setting Pakistan's platform, but with wickets in hand, he had a duty to go for his strokes. Connected well enough, but pulled it slightly, straight to the man back on the rope. 197/4

39.3 to Javed Miandad, reverse sweep, and out! Oh ... my ... god ... a supremely set innings comes to an end with an unconventional new-fangled mow! And well, we've seen that before in a World Cup final! Penny for Gatting's thoughts? Who needs such nonsense strokes when proper cricket is doing you proud?. 163/3

2.5 to IT Botham, Wasim Akram has struck. The round-the-wicket angle has worked. Ian Botham is not happy, though. After having swung a few in, Akram gets one to move away against the angle. Botham has to play at it. Interestingly, Aldridge, otherwise a safe umpire with lbws, has raised his finger for the catch at the wicket while moving away. There seems to be some sound that has influenced Aldridge. Botham is annoyed, and Akram is over the moon. T make it worse for Botham, Aamir Sohail has chipped in with a send-off, showing Botham the direction to the dressing room. Don't think he has forgotten the won't-send-even-mother-in-law-to-Pakistan comment from Botham. 6/1
34.5 to AJ Lamb, oh magic. Unplayable. Too good. The suroor is getting heavy now. What a delivery. Around the wicket, angling in, pitching middle and off, dipping on him, and then swinging away late, past the outside edge, pegging back the off stump. 141/5
34.6 to CC Lewis, is this the game? In two balls, Akram has undone the hard work of 13 overs. This time he flicks the shine the other way, and snakes this in a mile from outside off. Lewis is looking for something similar to Lamb, is perhaps even relieved that this has started wide, but then at the last moment it starts snaking back in. Played on. High-class bowling. 141/6

7.3 to AJ Stewart, Stewart is not hanging about this time. Walks off immediately. Aaqib gets this length ball to seam away from outside off. In a Test match, he could have left it alone, but Stewart is also looking to get bat to ball. The movement away takes the edge. 21/2
42.5 to NH Fairbrother, if there was any doubt, Aaqib has sealed the fate of this match. Fairbrother is expecting a short ball, but he doesn't get it. Goes back to pull, but this is not short enough and he ends up skying it. Moin calls it his early, waves others way, and gets under it to take the final big wicket. 180/7

18.6 to GA Hick, stunning wrong'un! I'm calling this one now, that is an iconic piece of legspin bowling! Hick had a sighter of the googly earlier in the over, but this one is pitch-perfect, outside off on a full length and biting fiercely to wrap him plumb in front of middle before his bat can get anywhere close to the picture! Brilliant. Abdul Qadir, eat your heart out!. 59/3
20.5 to GA Gooch, forewarned wasn't forearmed for Gooch! Another huge moment in this match. He had one let-off in the over, but climbed into the sweep next ball, against the spin, and it takes a steepling top-edge to deep square leg. But crikey, what a take! Aaqib Javed, sprinting in, sprawling, tumbling, scooping it off the turf, and hurtling off for an exuberant lap of honour! Pakistan sense glory.... 69/4
43.6 to DA Reeve, Reeve looks for the big hit, but the ball dips on him, and then turns away to take a thick outside edge. Ramiz Rana runs back from cover, keeps an eye on it all the time, catches it over his shoulder, and also avoids a collision with the man running in from the deep. Pakistan two good balls away from the World Cup now. Mushy has gone on a lap of the ground, it seems. 183/8

6.204316.78114001
49.2 to RK Illingworth, slower ball, Illingworth done in, gets a big edge, Ramiz Raja takes it at mid-off. Imran Khan takes the final wicket. Do you believe in destiny? The man that made Pakistan believe has the last touch on this game. Pakistan are World Cup champions. While Imran's career is still alive. 227/10
