Profile
Geoffrey Francis Uvedale Udal, who died on December 5, aged 72, played once for
Middlesex, in 1932 while in the RAF, when his only wicket was that of Hedley Verity, and twice for Leicestershire 14 years later, again without conspicuous success. An opening bowler, he was found to be suffering from a broken rib during his Leicestershire appearances, and played no first-class cricket subsequently. He was a grandson of J. S. Udal, who did so much to encourage cricket in Fiji while Attorney General there.
