Cricinfo staff

July 3, 2006

Peter Cantrell, the Netherlands coach, has named a 13-man squad for the two ODIs against Sri Lanka which relies largely on tried and trusted players, although he has included 16-year-old Alexei Kervezee in the side.

Kervezee was born in Namibia and made his debut for Netherlands in the ICC Intercontinental Cup last July when only 15. he has been a regular in the side since.

Cantrell has been able to chose from all those available, although Essex all-rounder Ryan ten Doeschate will only be able to play in the first game.

Netherlands defeated a strong MCC side last week, and two of the stars of that game have been called up. Eric Szwarczynski, who made a hundred for the A-team against MCC, is set to make his ODI debut, while allrounder Peter Borren, who made 85 in that match, is also in the squad.

Netherlands LP van Troost (capt), PW Borren, DLS van Bunge, RN ten Doeschate*, Mohammad Kashif, AN Kervezee, TBM de Leede, DJ Reekers, PM Seelaar, J Smits (wk), WF Stelling, ES Szwarczynski, B Zuiderent.

*TN de Grooth replaces ten Doeschate for Thursday's match
