David Griffiths is a pace bowler who came through Hampshire's Academy and appeared regularly for the Second Eleven in 2003 and 2004.
He was part of the England Under 19 side which beat Bangladesh on home soil in 2004 and was subsequently named in the squad for the tour of India in 2005, where he played in two Tests and three one-day internationals.
He was given a one-year deal for the 2005 season, but missed the whole of that summer with a stress fracture of the back.
