 Profile

Big things have been expected from Greg Moller since his teenage years when he was a promising batsman from Boonah. Queensland's junior cricketer of the year in 1998-99, a state secondary schoolboys' captain and a first-grade player at 17, he finally broke into the Bulls Pura Cup team for three matches in 2006-07. Debuting with a duck against South Australia, he was retained at No. 3 for the next match against New South Wales and showed promise with 44 and 47. The following season he was picked four times by Queensland, starting the season with 78 against Tasmania and being chosen for a Cricket Australia Chairman's XI against Sri Lanka. He scored 33 but injured his hamstring during the match and was out until January. Another half-century came against the Tigers on his return and he finished with 193 runs at 32.16. A school groundsman, he also spent part of the off-season at the Academy, where he fine-tuned his batting and wicketkeeping.
