- Astle dropped by Tendulkar off Kapoor when the score was 67/1, 12.1 over.
- Tendulkar hit 20 runs off one over from Morrison.
- During the Lunch interval, a part of the stadium collapsed, killing 9 people and injuring 70 people. The match continued in the afternoon, as the organizers feared a riot from the crowd if the match was called off.
