Dinesh Salunkhe, an allrounder from Mumbai, shot to fame during Cricket Star, India's first-ever cricket talent hunt and reality show, where he finished runner-up. He was rewarded with a scholarship to train with Leicestershire during the 2007 season and he played a few games for the county's second XI. A legbreak bowler, Salunkhe was picked to play alongside his hero Shane Warne for the Rajasthan Royals in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League.
