 Profile

A surprise choice for the tour of England in 1982, Suru Nayak was neither a failure nor a success. A capable late order batsman, a right arm medium pace bowler and a fine fielder, he played in two of the Tests but did little of note, except for picking up the wicket of David Gower in the second innings of the Oval Test.
