A summary of important decisions taken at the PCB meeting held on 16 August 98 as follows:
1. Captain Pakistan Team
Aamir Suhail (Perlod to be defined later)
2. Manager Sahara Cup
Azhar Zaidi
3. Commonwealth Games
Captain: Saleem Elahi
Vice Captain: Arshad Khan
Manager: Col. Naushad Ali
4. Coaches
(a) Pakistan Team: Javed Miandad
(b) Pakistan Junior: Offered to Mohsin Khan (subject to his acceptance)
5. Relationship of Players
The system of keeping players under contract with the Board was agreed on principle. The Selection Committee has been asked to nominate the players for retention.
6. Probe Committee Report
Not yet complete. The committee given 3 months to finalize the report
7. Team for Sahara Cup
Will be announced in a few days.
