Anderson bounces back with Ashes best

A quick video recap of James Anderson's six-for at Edgbaston

29-Jul-2015
James Anderson went wicketless during the second Investec Ashes Test at Lord's, conceding 137 runs. England's leading wicket-taker was back among the wickets at Edgbaston, claiming his best Ashes figures.

Striking early

Australia won the toss and chose to bat, but it wasn't the best of starts as Anderson struck in the third over of their innings, trapping David Warner leg-before.

Post-lunch mayhem

Anderson didn't have any more success in his first spell, but he had more soon after the extended lunch break due to rain. He had Adam Voges caught-behind, who was caught in two minds on whether to leave the ball.
In his next over, he had Mitchell Marsh dismissed in the same manner. Marsh was out for a duck.
Peter Nevill would have thought he had left one well, but the ball crashed into the stumps.
Mitchell Johnson became wicket no. 5, as Anderson took four in 19 balls to complete his fourth Ashes five-for, and his second in two Tests against Australia at Edgbaston.

Wrapping it up

Anderson had to wait 28 balls for his next dismissal; Nathan Lyon inside-edged him onto the stumps. His 6 for 47 was his best in Ashes Tests, and another reminder why he remains England's No. 1 strike bowler.
Here's a recap of Anderson's wickets.
