ASCO motors drives in to support EAP Cricket Cup

ASCO Motors was today announced as the official transport provider of the EAP Cricket Cup to be held in Port Vila, Vanuatu from 23-29 September 2005

ASCO Motors was today announced as the official transport provider of the EAP Cricket Cup to be held in Port Vila, Vanuatu from 23-29 September 2005. The tournament will see Cook Islands, Indonesia, Japan, Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu compete in the first-ever international cricket event staged in Vanuatu.
ASCO Motors, Vanuatu's leading car dealership, has been an active supporter of sport, particularly cricket, in Vanuatu for many years, and the partnership with the EAP Cricket Cup is just another example of this tremendous support.
Mr David Pullin, Managing Director, ASCO Motors, said, "The Vanuatu Cricket Association has shown passion and commitment to the future of cricket in Vanuatu. We at ASCO endorse those efforts and we are proud to be associated with what promises to be a keenly contested event. We believe this is an unprecedented opportunity to see some of East Asia and the Pacific's up and coming cricket stars. We wish the teams and players all the very best".
Welcoming the announcement, EAP Cricket Cup Tournament Director Russell James said ASCO's involvement demonstrated the ability of the event to capture the imagination of local businesses throughout Vanuatu "ASCO has been a strong supporter of sport in Vanuatu for a number of years, and it is extremely pleasing that they will now join the EAP Region and the Vanuatu Cricket Association as it stages this exciting event" said Mr James. "The EAP Cricket Cup is a significant event among the region's tournament structure, so it is extremely encouraging that it has been successful in attracting strong support from local businesses."
