Former Barbados and West Indies opening batsman Conrad Hunte is
returning home.
Hunte, who has been working for the past seven years as a
cricket officer in South Africa, will be back home next May to
work as a consultant in the Ministry of Youth and Culture.
He said that he was contacted by Prime Minister Owen Arthur who
asked him to return to lend his expertise to his homeland.
"I feel very pleased and honoured that the Prime Minister would
look at my contribution and desire that I come back and give
some of my knowledge and expertise to help back here in
Barbados," he said while watching the BET Under-15 cricket final
yesterday.
"I look forward with tremendous anticipation and excitement to
be able to be of assistance to my country."
