Bushrangers-Redbacks Pura Cup match postponed

Cricket Australia has agreed to a Cricket Victoria and South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) request that this weekend's scheduled Pura Cup game between the Bushrangers and Redbacks be postponed until 8 February following the tragic loss of David Hookes yesterday.

The game had been due to start at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday (23 January), and the rescheduled game will still take place in Melbourne.

The decision was made as a sign of respect to David Hookes and his family and in recognition of the deep impact of his passing on both teams.

Cricket Victoria and the SACA made the request following consultation with both teams.

The Redbacks are now due to return to Adelaide tomorrow.
