Sir Conrad Hunte will be honoured on Sunday January 23 2000 in
Toronto, Canada. The Canadian Alleyne School Alumni
Organization & Friends will host a 4:00 p.m memorial service for
Sir Conrad at the St. Anne's Anglican Church, 270 Gladstone Ave.,
Toronto.
Frank Goodridge, President of the Alumni Organization "invites
all cricket fans to attend this service to pay your last respects
to this great man, a great West Indies opening batsman for over
ten years, and a great West Indian" and citizen of the world.
St Anne's Church is 1 block east of Dufferin Street and _ block
north of Dundas. Among those attending will be representatives
from Canadian Cricket including Vic Walker, former hard -hitting
Canadian opening batsman-wicketkeeper, an ardent fan and true
friend of Sir Conrad.
Sir Conrad was a remarkable humanitarian, who left an indelible
imprint on those who had the good fortune to have been in his
company.
