Dasgupta to miss first two Ranji one-dayers

Deep Dasgupta, the Bengal captain, has been banned for the first two games of the Ranji Trophy One-Day Tournament due to his side's slow over-rate in the Ranji Trophy final against Mumbai. Bengal lost the closely-fought final at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai by 132 runs.

Dasgupta was fined 10% of his match fee while the rest of the side copped a massive 50% of their match fees for the offence. He will miss the East-zone league matches against Assam and Tripura on February 13 and 15 respectively. He will return for the third match, against Orissa two days later. All games will be staged in Cuttack.
