Boeta Dippenaar will lead South Africa A squad against the New Zealanders in a four-day match at Potchefstroom starting on November 1. The match will be the New Zealand's final warm-up match for the Test series against South Africa. The first Test starts at the Wanderers on November 8.
"Boeta did an excellent job as captain during the South African A tour of India," said selection chief Joubert Strydom. Dippenaar, who was set to captain a South African Invitational XI for the tour match against the New Zealanders, missed out due to a bruised thumb.
Left-arm fast bowler Lonwabo Tsotsobe was rewarded for his strong domestic performances this season with a call up to the squad. Tsotsobe took a career-best 7 for 39 for the Warriors in the drawn match against the Lions. He followed that up with a match haul of six wickets against the Cape Cobras.
