Dravid likely to miss third Test

Rahul Dravid has been hospitalised in Ahmedabad and is likely to miss the third Test against Sri Lanka beginning tomorrow.

Dravid, who missed the nets session yesterday, was suffering from a bout of vomiting and diarrhoea after which he was taken to the Rajasthan hospital at 11.30 pm last night. He was administered IV fluids and antibiotics and it is learnt that he slept well enough and has been taking semi solid food this morning but is still feeling weak. He and the team management, in consultation with doctor, will assess his condition and take a decision whether to play the third Test or not at 6pm this evening.

He was reportedly still recovering from the viral infection that he picked up in Delhi before the second Test. No replacement has been sought as of now and Mohammad Kaif is likely to replace him.
