Edwards makes speedy recovery

Fast bowler Fidel Edwards is set to return for Barbados in the new Stanford 20/20 tournament in Antigua, having recovered well from the hamstring injury which ruled him out of the last three Tests against India.

Edwards was forced to withdraw early in India's second innings in the first Test and his absence was a blow to West Indies, whose pace and bounce troubled the Indian batsmen. He has since been receiving specialised treatment and Wendell Coppin, his personal coach, confirmed his participation in the tournament.

Barbados' first match is against Anguilla on July 18.
