The HKCA is seeking nominations from suitable candidates for the roles of Team Manager on a number of overseas tours in 2014.
The tentative schedule of tours for 2014 is:
- Feb/Mar: ICC World Twenty20 in Bangladesh (Mar 9 - 20) plus Pre-Tour (Feb/Mar: 14 - 19 days))
- May: ACC Premier Trophy in Malaysia (May 2 -11) plus Pre-Tour (7 days)
- Sept: Asian Games in South Korea (Men and Women) (2 weeks)
- Oct: ACC U16 Challenge Trophy in Qatar (Oct 20-31)
- Dec: ACC 2-day Championship in UAE (Dec 5 - 15) plus Pre-Tour (a week)
The Team Manager's role is a very important one which requires significant involvement before, during and after each tour. Duties include preparation and planning of tour budgets and logistics; handling of tour funds and submission of accounts; liaison with tournament officials and media; preparation of pre and post tour reports.
The Team Manager will be expected to travel and be accommodated with the team for the full duration of each tour and pre-tour, if included.
These are voluntary roles however the Team Manager will receive a daily meal allowance whilst overseas.
Interested parties should submit their resume, citing credentials and relevant experience to the HKCA General Manager, Pauline Cheung via email to pauline.cheung@hkcricket.org identifying which tour/s they are interested to be appointed for.
Applications for the Team Manager for the ICC World Twenty20 2014 tour should be received by 5PM on 22nd January 2014. Applications for other tours should be received by 7th February 2014.
