Hong Kong squad named for ACC Women's Cricket Tournament

The HKCA Women's Selectors have met and selected the following 14 players to represent Hong Kong at the ACC Women's Cricket tournament in Malaysia, 11-17th July 2007.

The following players have been selected as Official Reserves who will be considered for selection should any of the 14 players above be unable to participate in the tournament:

  • Reenu Gill
  • Mariko Hill
  • Marge Cheung
The other seven nations in the ACC Tournament are: Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Nepal, UAE, Thailand, Bangladesh. The winners of this tournament may be invited to play in the ACC Women's Asia Cup to play against India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Additional weekly net training sessions at India Club in Jordan on Mondays from 7-9pm commencing this Monday 4th June, in addition to the current training sessions. All 18 players are requested to attend all the scheduled training sessions and contact coach Lal Jayasinghe if there is any problem.
The next practice match will be 9th June at Mission Road. Reporting time 12.30pm.
Note that Hong Kong women's team will play in the first full representative cricket match against the China national cricket team on 24th June in Shenzhen. The Hong Kong team will be selected from the above squad.
