ICC announces Emirates Umpire and Referee appointments for forthcoming series

The International Cricket Council (ICC) today confirmed the Emirates Elite and International Panel Umpire and Referee appointments for the following series:
Sri Lanka v South Africa - 2 Tests and 5 ODIs
Australia, India and Pakistan in Amsterdam - 4 ODIs
England v India - 3 ODIs
Australia v Pakistan - 1 ODI
Clive Lloyd is the match referee for Sri Lanka's home series against South Africa beginning in Galle next Wednesday (4 August). The series includes two Test matches and five One-Day Internationals (ODI).
Emirates Elite Umpires Daryl Harper and David Shepherd will stand in the first Test at Galle, while Steve Bucknor and Billy Bowden will oversee the second Test in Colombo beginning on Wednesday 11 August.
Bowden will also stand in the five ODI matches in the series, alongside a local official appointed by the home Board.
The Videocon Cup in Amsterdam between Australia, India and Pakistan commences on Saturday 21 August. The four-match series in Amsterdam includes three qualifying games and a final.
Chris Broad from the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Referees will oversee the series, while a panel of three ICC officials will rotate as on-field umpires in the four limited-over matches.
Emirates Elite Umpires Steve Bucknor and David Shepherd will work with Emirates International Panel member Jeremy Lloyds as the three umpires for the series in Amsterdam.
The NatWest Challenge featuring England and India includes three ODI matches at Trent Bridge (1 September), The Oval (3 September) and Lord's (5 September).
The match referee for this series in England is Mike Procter, with Emirates Elite Umpire Darrell Hair standing with a locally-appointed official for all three matches.
Following their officiating duties in Amsterdam, Bucknor and Shepherd will stand in the one-off ODI between Australia and Pakistan at Lord's on Saturday 4 September, with Broad as the appointed match referee.
Officials for the ICC Champions Trophy 2004, which begins in England on 10 September, will be announced in the coming weeks.
