1. Amla is dropped twice in one over: On 149, Amla tried to step out to Harbhajan - bowling round the stumps, was beaten by the dip, got an inside edge that M Vijay dropped at forward short leg. The next delivery he looked to glance, but the big spin took the edge that Dhoni failed to catch down the leg side. His 150 reached, Amla scored 103 more.
2. Kallis misses double: Jacques Kallis couldn't get to the elusive double-century, and as he went slow despite being comfortable in the middle, India got through quiet overs in the morning.
3. de Villiers turns it on: India couldn't make further inroads after Kallis' dismissal, thanks to AB de Villiers' playing havoc with the spinners' lengths. He scored a quick 50 to curb any momentum switch India were expecting.
