Brian Lara's last one-day international at his home turf was an emotional affair, both for the player and the fans. Though Lara made only 36, he led the team astutely and signed off in style, with West Indies thrashing India 4-1 in the five-match series.

Later, Lara spoke about the unstinting support that his home crowd had given him throughout his career, and hoped he would get another opportunity to play a Test match here. Cricinfo's Siddhartha Vaidyanathan caught up with some of the fans at the Queen's Park Oval and asked them for their memories of their hero. Listen in to what they had to say.
