New faces for Bulls

The career of former Western Australian and Tasmanian pace bowler Shane Jurgensen will come full circle at the Gabba on Saturday when he makes his Queensland debut in the XXXX Bulls opening match of the summer.
Jurgensen, 27, was one of two new faces in the Bulls line-up named today for the season-opener, along with University of Queensland batsman Stephen Farrell.
Additionally, opener Daniel Payne has fought back from the disappointment of being overlooked for a Bulls contract in the off-season to earn a start, while Queensland's most capped one-day player Stuart Law returns to the limited overs line-up after losing his spot last season.
Queensland will field a new-look team with Matthew Hayden, Andy Bichel, Jimmy Maher, Andrew Symonds and Michael Kasprowicz on tour with the Australian One Day team in India and Scott Brant, Ashley Noffke and Nick Kruger unavailable through injury.
Jurgensen, who made his first class debut for WA in 1998-99 before moving to Tasmania in 1999-2000, left the Tigers during the off-season to return home to Brisbane.
The tall right-arm quick took 11 wickets in the Pura Cup Final for the Tigers against the Bulls in 2001-02 and also took a hat-trick against NSW in the same season on the way to winning Tasmania's Pura Cup player of the year.
Farrell, 23, is originally from Townsville and has represented Queensland at U-17 and U-19 level. A clean-hitting right-handed batsman, he has represented at 2nd XI level for the Queensland Academy of Sport. He works as a teacher.
Saturday's match starts at 10am and will be televised by Channel Nine.
