Mr

BCCSL
09-Dec-2000
Mr. Desmond Fernando PC, who was appointed by the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka to look into the match fixing allegations against Sri Lanka players in the CBI Report, has arrived back in Sri Lanka after meetings in Delhi and London.
In Delhi Mr. Fernendo met with Mr K. Madhavan - Advocate and retired police officer appointed by the BCCSI to investigate the said CBI report.
He subsequently met with Sir Paul Condon - Head of the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit and Mr. Jeffrey Rees, also of the Unit in London.
Having been informed that M. K. Gupta on whose statement the allegations in the CBI Report are largely based has refused to speak with anyone on this issue, Mr Fernando together with Sir Paul Condon will meet with India's Minister of Sport, Minister of Law and CBI Officials on the 12th and 13th of December 2000 in this regard.
