Singer Sri Lanka Ltd have come forward to sponsor the West Indies women's cricket tour of Sri Lanka early next year. Singer, were team sponsors of the men's team for the last six years as well, but Dilmah Tea have secured the rights for the next three years.
Gwen Herat, the president of the Women's Cricket Association of Sri Lanka (WCASL), confirmed that Singer will be sponsoring the 13-day West Indies tour, which will include a four-day Test Match and three One Day Internationals.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan women's pool will play three practice matches from the 30 October in Kuliyapitiya and Colombo. At present the squad comprises of 24 players and the selectors are expected to prune it to 14 by mid-November.
