Swamibapa take Twenty20 crown

Swamibapa A beat Kanbis A by six wickets in the final of the NPCA Twenty20 at Nairobi Gymkhana to end what has been a controversial year for them on a high.

Swamibapa's expected league challenge fell apart when they refused to complete their fixtures after a dispute of the postponement of matches, but with a full-strength side they overtook Kanbis's score of 108 for 7 off the first ball of the final over. Steve Tikolo was the start of the show with 3 for 22 and 37 while Maurice Ouma chipped in with 34.

In the semi-finals, Kanbis A had beaten Sir Ali Muslim A by six wickets while Swamibapa had thrashed Stray Lions by ten wickets.

In the Plate final, Nairobi Gymkhana eased to an straightforward win over Shree Cutchi Lewa Youth League thanks largely to an unbeaten 62 from Shashank Maheshwari.
