With the Cricket World Cup in the past it is now time to move on and support cricket in true Joburg style. The strict rules and regulations set out for the World Cup have been lifted. Once again you can pack a picnic basket with your favourite goodies, as long as it is not alcohol, and pack your umbrellas and start Summer with us in our extended family grass area!
The Stadium has a variety of food stalls, providing pizza, burgers, chicken, boerewors, hotdogs, Chinese food, Italian coffee, ice-cream, fruit salad, and waffles. No matter what the taste, the Wanderers Stadium caters for everyone.
On Friday 21 November 2003 the Highveld Strikers are taking on Boland in their first Standard Bank limited overs game at the Wanderers Stadium. Not only do we promise an action packed game, but spectators will also be allowed onto the field during the dinner break.
The Wanderers Stadium will be giving away 2 x R2000 Hirsch vouchers at the match for the "Ultimate Strikers Supporter". All you have to do to stand a chance of winning is to use your imagination and come dressed in Yellow. The two best supporters will win a Two Thousand Rand voucher each to redeem for any appliance at a Hirsch store in Gauteng.
If going wild in yellow is not your thing then bring along your banner, supporting the Strikers and you could win a SA Sports Illustrated subscription in our banner competition. So get along with your friends and family, get into the mood and win at The Wanderers.
