A few lucky folks witnessed a gem of a partnership between Kervyn Dimney and Murugappan Meyyappan on June 8 at the Lower Garden Acres in Colorado.
Kervyn Dimney, the Colorado Cricket League president, scored 142 not out from 71 balls, adding 217 runs with Murugappan Meyyappan who scored 64 off 49 balls, falling in the last over.
Their spectacular partnership has now staked a strong claim as a record for the second wicket (or any wicket) in Twenty20 cricket.
The highest individual score in Twenty20 is held by Brendon McCullum, who scored 158 from 73 balls for his Kolkata Knight Riders when they played Bangalore Royal Challengers in the recent IPL Twenty20.
The highest international Twenty20 score is by Chris Gayle who scored 117 from 57 balls against South Africa in Johannesburg.
