Arguably the most talented Ugandan cricketer of his generation, Kamyuka is a tall allrounder who first shot to prominence as a 19-year-old with an unbeaten ton against Malaysia at the 2001 ICC Trophy in Canada. He was a regular in the Ugandan side for several years after that, as well as something of a journeyman on the Ugandan club circuit, playing for JACC, Wanderers, Destroyers, Tornado B, Nile and Premier among others. Kamyuka represented Uganda at the ICC World Cup Qualifiers in South Africa in 2009, but has since fallen out with the Ugandan cricketing authorities, left Uganda, and settled in Canada, where he has already stated his ambition to play for the national side. Kamyuka will only become eligible for Canada in 2012, but he is making a name for himself in Canadian club cricket in the meantime. In 2010, he became the first African player to receive the Senior Player of the Year award after he scored 414 runs at 41.40 and took 16 wickets at 19.31 in 16 matches for Brampton Masters - the club captained by the Ugandan-born Henry Osinde - in the in the Toronto and District Cricket Association (TDCA) Elite division.
