the match ends with a wicket, makes room and drives that straight to extra cover, Bangalore have won easily
RCB vs RR, 30th match at Jaipur, IPL, Apr 23 2012 - Match Result
The game was taken away from Rajasthan by that Dilshan-de Villiers stand. It was the latter who turned it around, and once Dravid fell in the chase - the required-rate had already crept up to dangerous proportions by the time he got out - the match was all but sealed. A good comeback by Bangalore, they were beaten by Rajasthan in their previous encounter. Appanna did a very good job. This win will help Bangalore move up a couple of places on the table, and it spices things up even more. We'll get you the presentation details in a bit. George Binoy is updating the report of this match.
Dravid: "The last five overs made the difference. Dilshan and AB played really well in that period. The death bowling has been an area of concern. I've been hitting some good shots but its important to get the right result as well. Appanna bowled well, he had the backing of a lot of runs behind him. He spun the ball, it's good for his confidence."
Vettori: "The way Zak, Vinay and Harshal Patel bowled was a confidence booster for the side. Pretty much every team still has a chance, so we need to keep winning."
AB de Villiers is the Man of the Match: "I had a good game, I enjoyed my batting. I'd like to hand over this award to the man who took four wickets, KP Appanna. I haven't done this before. It's a team game."
Appanna: "On this track, getting to 190 was a great effort, and I got some turn from the track."
Nice gesture from AB there, though it was his performance that set up Bangalore. They've won easily here. Thanks for tuning in. Do join us tomorrow for the double-header. See you then.

appeal for run-out, shortish outside off, goes for the cut, gets an inside edge just wide of the stumps, de Villiers runs forward , collects and under-arms a throw onto the stumps at the striker's end, the bat is just in, a fraction in, when the bails are dislodged, he's just made it. Though the ball made contact with the stumps when the batsman was still short, it popped up when he was just in. The third umpire is taking his time, and gives the benefit of the doubt to the batsman
Vinay to bowl
slower one outside off, opens the face at the last moment and picks up a couple wide of third man
Hogg walks in
lots of elevation but hardly any distance, had no option, tried to loft that over mid-off but ended up skying it and gifting Vettori a comfortable catch, Zaheer was happy to see him go, didn't like being struck for those boundaries
