Phew, it turned out to be an absolute humdinger of a contest as Galle Titans eventually managed to win the nerve-jangling affair in the Super Over! It was a game of fine margins but credit to Dambulla Aura for taking the game deep despite losing wickets at regular intervals and not giving up. Titans couldn't stop the haemorrhaging of runs in the last five overs and some timely hits from Alex Ross ended the match in a deadlock so it had to be decided in the Super Over! It was Rajitha who bled plenty of runs in the last over but then he came back to make amends in the Super Over by only conceding 10 which didn't ruffle the feathers of big guns Bhanuka Rajapaksa and man in red-hot-form Dasun Shanaka as they got to the target in three balls.

Shanaka was declared player of the match for his all-round heroics. He raced to 42 off 21 deliveries and gave a much-needed impetus at the backend of the innings and later gave an upper hand to Galle by prising out Dhananjaya de Silva - returning superb figures of 3/27.
