This is Rvel Zahid, signing out on behalf of Ranjith. Until next time, take care.

It's all been a lot of fun to watch Shadab, Anderson, the opening burst from Boult and Rabada, and then in the second innings when Tim David started to get into his groove, it was splendid entertainment but he didn't get much support from his teammates in the end and left a bit too many runs towards the end. Rauf and Plunkett managed to keep a lid on the scoring rate and showed their dexterity in crucial junctures of the game.

Earlier, MI New York displayed exceptional bowling prowess during the powerplay, quickly dismissing Finn Allen, Matthew Wade, Marcus Stoinis, and Aaron Finch within the first seven overs. However, they allowed the game to slip away as Anderson and Shadab seized control, resulting in a massive total of 215/5. In their pursuit, Brevis exhibited impressive ball striking until miscuing a shot off Rauf that led to a string of wickets tumbling. Kieron Pollard and Nicholas Pooran formed a crucial partnership, but as the required run rate crept up, sustaining the relentless hitting became onerous, ultimately leading to their dismissals at the hands of Plunkett. There's still one game left to play; Seattle Orcas will be taking on Washington Freedom. Shashwat is firing up commentary, join him for the build-up.

Corey Anderson, POTM: "I live here and still can't get used to the heat. It was tough but glad with the win. It played a little bit slow and we weren't looking at 200. The partnership we put on was great. Shadab got me going at times as well. Today I actually wanted to bowl, but Finchy told me I was only going get half the match fee."

Shadab Khan (Scored 61 off 30 and clubbed five sixes): "If you bowl in their arc, they will hit you for boundaries. It's very important how you start a tournament; it's a short tournament, so we have to start well. Mumbai have got a very balanced team; we didn't play before and there wasn't any practice game but now we know each other's strengths. Haris Rauf is a world class bowler. I always enjoy his company and his attitude towards the game. He is outstanding and I always learn from him."

Aaron Finch: "First game of the tournament, there were a bit of nerves. It looked a bit slower towards the backend of the game. Haven't fully retired, just internationals."

Kieron Pollard: "That's a little bit too much in the backend. Me and Tim said to push hard at the timeout. Of course, at one point we totally had them struggling but Shadab batted smartly, knocked it around and they were able to go berserk towards the backend of the innings. A few things to look at but it's the first game, so it's okay."

Jay Deshpande: "The Unicorns have simply been the better team today, especially in the bowling department. Tight lines and lengths make all the difference."

Pollard tries to club it over midwicket but didn't get all of it. Short and this time it zips off the surface not holding up that much and it was rising at an awkward chest height, not the perfect position to play the pull and he is caught at deep midwicket by Bishnoi a simple catch
