Phew, that brings us to an end to another exhilarating match but tomorrow it's the blockbuster high-voltage affair between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings - which is the biggest domestic rivalry in Pakistan cricket! Until the next one, this is Rvel Zahid waving goodbye

Despair on one hand and joy on the other. Quetta Gladiators, a team that embodies competitive spirit and skill, have won this sea-saw battle. After faltering early on, Guptill played a sensational innings in which he completely annihilated Kings' bowling attack and that blistering century gave them a fighting total which inspired Quetta's bowlers to put up a concerted bowling effort and the likes of Hasnain, Naseem, Nawaz and Ahmad responded well. It was the gun bowling that scripted Quetta's win in the end. The 86-run stand between the lone-ranger Malik and Niazi kept them alive in the contest but the 18th and 19th overs were crucial where the Pakistan national team's quicks showed their temperament and quality.

Sarfaraz Ahmed, Quetta Gladiators captain: "We had the belief at the halfway stage that we could defend the total. The bowlers bowled brilliantly, especially in the last three overs. It's important to get some momentum early on in the league and hopefully, Guptill can continue his form. It is not easy to bowl in the second innings but our bowlers were spot-on with the execution and that made my job easy."

Martin Guptill, Player of the Match: "After being four down in seven overs is never ideal and to be able to do it at the end, big credit goes to Iftikhar (Ahmed). I tried to stay as deep as possible and tried to be positive as it was a difficult wicket to bat on."

Imad Wasim, Karachi Kings captain: "We bowled really well in the first six overs, we should have restricted them under 160. Few errors in the field and the drop catches didn't help either. We are bowling well in the powerplay, but not backing up in the middle overs. We shouldn't be written off yet."

Yorker dipping in, whipped away into the leg side and Quetta prevail over Kings!

Jonny: "Disappointed KK Fan: The only reason behind these losses is KK is dependent on performances of Imad, Malik, Yamin, "

ShahSafeer: "Malik has been one of the finest players in this format but could never become a match winner. Perhaps this is why he's lonely senior local who has not won this tournament as yet!"

Ahsan Butt: "Put Malik back in Pakistan squad please!"

Tanzeel : "24 off the last over reminds me 4 sixes by Asif Ali against Afghanistan. Will that going to happen in PSL too.....

muhammad ietsam: "Amazing stuff from the young duo of naseem and husnain ,took the game completely away from Karachi "

Tanzeel : "Fantastic death bowling by Quetta Bowlers. "

Hk: "Naseem you beauty

Paul Wrennall: "The non Asian players in this tounament must be fed up with theie Asian teammates feilding. They sould take a month off, without pay to practice feilding only"

Hk: "Positivity goes a long way which is what KK is missing and than like someone mentioned domestic talent rarely ever seen any youngster from KK making the headlines "

Faheem : "Haider Ali's poor shot selections and poor temperament overshadowed his talents. Malik on other hand 'pesa wasool' performances."

Smith to Irfan Khan, SIX runs

Takes the aerial route, length ball on off, pace off the ball, it was a loose delivery and duly dispatched over square leg.

19.4
1
Smith to Malik, 1 run

Fraction short and tight fifth stump line, clears his front leg and biffs it out over extra cover, finds the fielder in the deep

19.3
4
Smith to Malik, FOUR runs

Brute force in those wrists! A little short and strays down leg, Malik hacks it away flat to the leg side and fetches another boundary. That was firmly pumped down the ground

19.2
4
Smith to Malik, FOUR runs

Shorter length, wide outside off and he thumps it through point, fielder in the deep puts in the dive and spills it to the boundary rope, 19 off four needed.

Smith to Irfan Khan, 1 run

Hits the hard length, chest height delivery, goes for the pull looking a bit ungainly

Mohammad Hasnain to Malik, FOUR runs

Shot! Malik powers this over extra cover for a much-needed boundary, just a fraction short and little bit of width on offer and it was enough for Malik to extend his arm and he times it to perfection

2
Mohammad Hasnain to Malik, 2 runs

The bouncer, he swipes at it, gets some bat on it and is hustling and bustling to the other end

18.4
1
Mohammad Hasnain to Irfan Khan, 1 run

Shortens his length outside off, dabbed with hard hands down the ground and he finally manages to bring Malik on strike who will have to go bang bang on these last two deliveries, 30 off 8

18.3
Mohammad Hasnain to Irfan Khan, no run

This is amazing, Hasnain bowls the third dot in a row as Niazi just got stuck on the pitch, feet not going forward or backward and is indecisive on the pitch, ends up dabbing it down the pitch

18.2
Mohammad Hasnain to Irfan Khan, no run

Another snorter that lifts from short of a length and he tries an uppercut in vain

18.1
Mohammad Hasnain to Irfan Khan, no run

Darts in a bumper, doesn't connect, he is running in hard and Niazi was too early into the shot, Malik is trying to calm him down and and gave him some advice

Naseem Shah to Malik, 1 run

Darts in a perfect yorker right at the base of the stumps, he manages to get some bat on it and forces it down to long-on, can't do much when the bowling is this good

1
Naseem Shah to Irfan Khan, 1 run

Nails the yorker right into the blockhole, he shovels it away towards deep midwicket region

17.3
1
Naseem Shah to Malik, 1 run

Dug in, cramped him for room, he rocks back for the hook, couldn't get all of it, good over so far from Naseem, no boundary thus far

17.2
Naseem Shah to Malik, no run

That's a cracking delivery! Snorter of a bouncer, it's a lovely line and he gets a hint of wobble outside off, Sarfaraz is claiming caught behind so third umpire is taking a look, flat line on ultra edge when the ball goes past the bat so that's that.

17.1
1
Naseem Shah to Irfan Khan, 1 run

A fraction short, follows the batter who was shimmying down the wicket, went for the full-blooded whack down the ground, hits him high on the bat
